poldora added more suspension shite, rejigged the formatting, fixed a hyperlink and did a jig. Oh and targeted spawning. Targetted?

+
+All players are allowed to request to staff, via a Report, specific locations for their new characters, and even a few special races and modifiers that work on a separate queue attached to in-game events.
+
+
+
Regular Targeted Spawns

+New characters automatically spawn in random locations for the starter races, based on how many characters of that race are present on the tile. However, through a report, you can choose the location for your new character, with these criteria:
+
Any tile of the biome where their founding town was made

+
Town tiles where there is at least one character of their race at the moment of spawning

+
Golems can spawn in any tile in the world

+
+Please Note: Targeted Spawning might be rejected in cases where lore events happened to prevent it
+
+
+
Sanguine (Sangre Tor)

+Sanguine are diseased, vampiric individuals usually converted by another character during gameplay. However, in the city of Sangre Tor there's a specific condition that allows souls to come to life as sanguine already. Some have considered these 'natural' sanguines to be superior to those who are turned.
+
+
+Sanguine is a modifier; when a character is converted they can have their body change outside of regular racial guidelines, now following the Sanguine guidelines. An individual who is afflicted with sanguinism will be able to bite people and animals if their hunger is below 100%, and can convert others once a year. Biting replenishes your hunger and can be a quick fix if you don't have food on you, or it can replace food altogether if your bites are strong enough.
+
+
+
Undead (Grand Nocturne)

+Undead are the beings of this world that have been brought back from the dead in...dubious ways. For this specific opportunity, they will spawn at the service of the undead queen of Grand Nocturne, and her goddess of Ambition. That being said, there will be expectations of you if you choose to spawn in: we hope to see people playing into the story. Undead is a modifier, which means that any characters that spawn with it will have to generally follow the guidelines of their base race, with the changes from the modifier being permitted (think, zombies!).
+
+
+You can read more on the discord announcement, but keep in mind this spawning might take a while, and the available races will depend on the availability of corpses to reanimate.
+
+
+
Reformed (The Forge)

+Reformed are a special race of constructed creatures with both humanoid and insectoid features that include metal and bone as part of their appearance - but they are notably living creatures, not machinery. Currently exclusively spawning as servants of their maker, in line with the theming of insect aesthetics, these lovely buggy-metal lads spawn with immunity to illness from corpses and natural level 3 heavy armour as their racial perk. Their starting stats depend on which forge builds them. However, they are short-lived, starting their old age rolls at 40, in addition to being unable to mate. As they are built rather than born, they are intended to have an innate drive to serve a purpose as a result, akin to the workers of a bug nest/hive.
+
+
+Please note that this is a special race. We hope to see players build upon each others' ideas to make this experience a unique one, rather than getting one granted only to head off to go do their own thing.

After that, your account will be put into a line to be matched with upcoming parents (See Queue for more information on how this works). As soon as this happens, your character will be spawned into the location of the parents at the age of five. You are required to make an adult for your first character. +

+
Tierborn Spawning can now be suspended if certain criteria occur. Please see the below section on Tierborn Suspensions for more information.

-
Occasionally a message will be shown on the character selection screen, stating that there is a shortage of child characters to a certain race. This means that there are more pregnant mothers than children waiting to spawn. Spawning a child when demand is high does not mean that your child character will spawn immediately. It may be up to a two day wait, and even after two days, the child will only spawn if they are next in line. (See Queue as referenced above). If someone supplied the demand before you, then your child may have to wait a little longer.+

+
Tierborn Suspensions

+
+
As tierborns impact other players significantly, rules are generally fairly strict around them. In addition to the Child Behaviour Guide, staff can now apply a tierborn spawning suspension if certain conditions are met.

+
+
Firstly, you should not be playing a tierborn character after the age of 8 if you cannot commit to playing them until the age of 16. Between the ages of 5 and 8, you can put them up for adoption without any consequences.

+
If you have not put a tierborn up for adoption prior to turning 8 and die prior to 16, then depending on the scenario your account may see a suspension of spawning tierborns lasting from 3 months to 6 months.

+
+
Scenario 1: A tierborn starves under the age of 8. The character is put up for adoption automatically and the account receives a tier suspension lasting 6 months.

+
Scenario 2: A tierborn starves between the age of 8 and 16. The character dies and the account receives a tier suspension lasting 6 months.

+
Scenario 3: A tierborn aged 8 to 16 is killed by staff following a request from the player. The character dies and the account receives a tier suspension lasting 3 months.

+
Scenario 4: A tierborn dies between 8 and 16 for a reason not captured above. Staff review this on a case-by-case basis and the player should submit a report that details the full scenario around the death. Suspension may be waived or individualised based on the case.
+
+
+
For Players of Parents to Tierborns: If you think your character's tierborn is being simmed (not roleplaying and only working mechanically) until the age of 16 to avoid a suspension, please submit a report for staff to review. Details should include evidence around these behaviours.
+
+
+Outside of death, suspensions - or even an outright ban - may occur if players cannot adhere to the following tierborn-playing standards:
+
Players should only be queueing and playing tierborns if they are willing to engage with their in-game family and community.

+
Children in Marosia feel inherently attached to the character that brought them into the world. This attachment is akin to the bond that a 5-year-old would feel towards a nurturing parent in real life and it persists through adoption.

+
Tierborns enter the world at the age of 5 and therefore should act like a 5-year-old.

+
+This means players should not:
+
Push plots of their character being neglected or abused when this is not occurring in-game.

+
Label their family and community as bad without any frame of reference in-game.

+
Push for their character to leave their family because they are bored.

+
Fail to engage in their local culture.

+
Only engage with their family and community if they are played by friends known out-of-character.

+
Act as though there is no bond with their life-giving parent (otherwise known as a bearer), or that the bond can be broken easily.

+
Be formulating logical arguments at the age of five, or being overly sensible or mature when they're too young (and without the supporting in-game roleplay) at an age prior to eighteen.

+
+Please Note: This list is not exhaustive. Common sense should be used. Imagine a real-life child of the same age as the tierborn in question. Now, ask yourself, is this reasonable behaviour? If the actions you have planned would not see eyebrows raised in incredulity in a busy city centre, then you're likely fine. If the behaviour is borne of a niche culture i.e. a xenophobic town or one prone to violence, then ask yourself, does this fit with the upbringing my tierborn has had and has witnessed among others? If the answer is not 'yes', then consider, whether there is appropriate support for this behaviour? Have I roleplayed a leaning towards this consistently over time? If the answer is 'no', stop and consider if you would be breaking the above. If in doubt, submit a report.
